Still waiting:(

Sorry I have nothing to update with but we were told that we will have our dates by this Thursday.  The way it looks we should be traveling by the 13th of March or so but just as this entire process has been completely unpredictable so is any of the information we were given regarding our departure.  Throughout our whole journey so far I have maintained such incredible peace and even through this "waiting period" I'm hanging in there.  God is totally in control and I have NEVER doubted for one second that he will leave my side.  Lee and I are just so flipping excited to meet our Princess it's crazy!  We are equally excited to just be together.  It's been 16 years since we've been away together so we're going to soak it all in that's for sure!  Knowing that our kids at home are going to be in such great hands with my Sister and her family makes things so much easier.  Check back Thursday:)  Here's a few things that have kept us busy over the last week:  A camping trip to Lake Camanche.  Such a great time. No volleyball games, no birthday parties, no sleepovers....  Just us and it was fabulous!

And there was Cousin Gabby's birthday party at Build A Bear.. Fun times....

Abby made a bear for Olivia!  Love the Reece's Rainbow outfit she picked out!!

 Sweet Dreams!

Waiting........

We are now just a phone call away from our travel dates!!  Our dossier was submitted exactly one week ago and now begins the waiting game.  The only thing that keeps me going (besides my 5 kiddos) is realizing that in just a couple weeks Olivia will be in my arms.  Lee and I are starting to pack and it's crazy to think that we will be trading in our short sleeves and flip flops for parkas and snow boots:)  To tell you the truth it's really exciting!  It's been 15 years since we've been away together ALONE!!!  I'm not quite sure how I am actually going to leave my kids.  I can't even go there yet.  I know that it will much harder for me than it will be for them so please say a prayer or two for me.  My amazing sister, Colleen and her family are ready to drop their lives in the Bay Area step into ours and that puts so much peace in my heart.  My babies LOVE Teen (Aunt Colleen) and can't wait for the whole Mazzuca family to move in!  The big kiddos, I know will be absolutely fine when we leave but my sweet Chloe?  Oh, lordy, now I'm crying...  What will Chloe do without me?  Forget that, What will I do without Chloe????  I can't even imagine waking up and not having her next to me....Okay enough, enough, enough.... I mean who wouldn't miss this girl like mad?

LOVE<3<3<3

The Waiting game and a Beautiful Baby Contest!!!!

I was told that this is the hardest part of the entire process.  I had no idea.....  I would have never in a million years thought that anything would be as difficult as getting through that mound of paperwork.  Boy was I wrong!  It truly is in God's hands at this point I am totally okay with that but MAN I want to hold that sweet girl!  I have had such a sense of peace throughout this journey and that peace has honestly gotten me through some rough patches.  In the meantime, I've been keeping busy with house cleaning, laundry and exercising daily.... Not really, any of that...... but I have had time to support other adopting families in an awesome "Beautiful Baby Contest" fundraiser.  Of course I entered Miss Chloe Bea!!!  If she gets the most votes we win a $150 Target card and a spot in a beautiful calendar!  If you get the chance hop on over and give Chloe Bea a vote! https://www.facebook.com/questions/235686623182520/

I will be sure to keep you all posted as soon as I hear anything from Olivia's country!  Please pray that it is soon because I need my girl!!

Also don't forget about the GIVEAWAY that these four amazing girls are hosting To help us with the last ransom we need to free Olivia.  Visit their blog, donate and get the chance to win some awesome prizes..http://4girls4christ.blogspot.com/p/livy-mae-giveaway-donateprizes.html

Bringing it all home...

I read a post last night from one of my favorite ladies.  As the world went completely silent I could actually hear the words being read to me, it was the strangest feeling, unexplainable really.  Kori's story couldn't have come to me on a more perfect night.  Now that all the ground work is done, all the paper's are filed away somewhere on a desk in Eastern Europe, I have too much time on my hands and too much time to think crazy thoughts.  Yesterday morning as I lay in bed with Chloe basking in our morning routine of snuggling while the hustle and bustle of a typical Herrington household rages on, I couldn't fight the feelings of tremendous guilt. "What are we doing", "How am I going to find the space (in my bed and in my heart) for another little person?"  Funny thing is having done this 5 times before one would think that I would have this all handled.  I don't!  This is a whole different ballgame and I'm not sure how to deal with the curve balls.  I prayed for guidance and asked God to make my path a little brighter.  I knew he'd respond in the most glorious way, he always does!  I won't ever again question the reasoning behind this awesome lifesaving mission I've been sent on...
Just read about Kori and you too will understand!http://covenantbuilders.blogspot.com/2012/01/koris-story.html?spref=fb
